Thank you for your participation in our Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences this week. Your partnership with the Franklin Staff is important to the success of your child. If you have questions or concerns about your childs’ progress as we continue through 1st Semester, please be sure to reach out to their teacher. We are grateful for your time and support and look forward to making this school year a successful one for all students here at Franklin.
The Halloween Parade will be held on Wednesday, October 31st from 2:00-2:30pm. Parents are invited to come to the center of the quad between 1:45-2:00pm. The Parade will begin promptly at 2:00pm. If it rains, the parade will be canceled. In preparation for this event, we want to provide a few reminders regarding costume guidelines. Kindergarten through 6th grade may arrive to school in their costumes. 7th and 8th grade students may bring their costumes and change prior to the parade. Please remember costumes may not have blood and gore, and of course, no weapons are permitted. Masks may only be worn for the parade (masks must follow the above guidelines and may not be scary in nature). Children may not have their FULL faces painted, as this causes a distraction throughout the day and safety concerns in the case of an emergency. It is important that we can recognize all students at all times. If you’re not sure about your costume please check with a teacher or the main office prior to Halloween.
Trunk or Treat is this Friday! Don’t miss out on this fun community event that is being hosted by the PTC. There are going to be some SPOOK-tacular trunks to see! Come by the Franklin upper parking lot between 6-8pm on Friday night to participate in the Trunk or Treat.

1st Place goes to Mrs. Rebozzi’s 2nd grade class! They have earned a Pizza and Puzzles party for collecting the most box tops overall!
2nd Place goes to Mrs. Willis’ 3rd grade class! They have earned a Make a Donut Spider party!
Congratulations Franklin! We collected 2,415 box tops for our first collection. Let’s try for 3,000 or more for our next collection goal!

MandaRUN: If your student is a part of Trojan Trackers, they have the opportunity to earn a special glow in the dark charm for their collection. When you register your student to be a part of the MandaRUN and they turn in a copy of their registration showing “Franklin” as their school, they will receive the special charm. These registration forms can be turned in when your student attends Trojan Trackers. Be sure to register for this amazing community event. WE are on a mission to DEFEAT the Ophir THREE-PEAT. Let’s earn that MandaCup with the largest percentage of Franklin participants- you just need to designate Franklin as your school during registration. Be sure to mark your calendars for Sunday, November 18th. Let’s get our running shoes on and show our Trojan Pride by supporting LBEF and the Loomis Union School District.
