This past Friday, Franklin and LCBS co-hosted the first 7th and 8th grade dance of the year. It was a huge success with almost 500 students in attendance. The leadership students did a great job setting up the decorations for the dance.

There are numerous opportunities to support Franklin and LUSD! Come join us for the 2nd annual MandaRIDE in Northern California’s beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills on Saturday, October 6, 2018. The family friendly 12 mile, 30 mile and metric-century bicycle rides are hosted by the Loomis Basin Education Foundation, a non-profit organization. There is even a guided children’s ride for a day filled with family fun! All proceeds go directly back to the local schools in the Loomis Union School District. For more detailed information and to register for this event please click here. If you rather volunteer and support all of the riders, please sign-up to volunteer at one of the schools as riders stop to refuel. We hope to see everyone there!

In order to help ensure a smooth pick up at the end of the day, please coordinate pick up times and locations with your child. If you are picking-up in the loop, please be sure to only pick-up students from the curb, the other lane is for exiting traffic. To maintain flow of traffic in the pick-up loop, pull forward when the car in front of you pulls out. Our pick-up loop also has emergency vehicle access points. It is critical that we do not have any unattended vehicles in the pick-up loop. This ensures the safety of all members of our school campus. If you do need to get out of your vehicle, please choose to park on the hill or in the upper parking lot. Also, as a reminder, staff supervision will be present in the pick-up area between the times of 2:30 to 2:45. We encourage parents to stagger their arrivals between these times in order to alleviate traffic congestion that occurs at the start of dismissal. Thank you for your support and patience in following our parking and traffic plan.
