LBEF Awards $35,000 in Matching Grant Funds to District Schools

LBEF Awards $35,000 in Matching Grant Funds to District Schools The LBEF in conjunction with district PTC organizations presented a total of $35,000 in matching grant funds to the seven district schools. This is the second year in a row that the LBEF has matched $5,000 raised by district PTC's to fund technology and visual and performance arts projects across the district. The partnership between the two groups is providing our students with great opportunities! Community support of LBEF events such as the MandaRUN, Holiday Home Tour and E-Waste Drive make this possible each year.

Principal's Corner

Dear Franklin Elementary School Families,

I am thrilled to be welcoming you to the new school year! The Franklin staff and I look forward to an exciting and productive school year, and we are ready to get started!

I am confident that your child will receive the best education when you and our dedicated Franklin teachers work as a team. It's the parents' and teachers' enthusiasm, support, and involvement that inspires children to do their best. Together we can achieve wonderful things.

There is great excitement ahead of us, including new teachers to meet, new books to read, new friends to meet and new skills to master... and I look forward to you sharing in those exciting times.

I encourage you to become involved in our school through volunteerism. PTC has been organizing activities for the upcoming year, and they can use your help! Be a risk-taker and volunteer. Also a group of parents and I have started a beautification committee and we need you. Send me an email and I will add you to our beautification group.

I am looking forward to a great year at Franklin Elementary School.
