Annual E-Waste Drive, Saturday, April 24th The LBEF will be hosting the annual E-Waste Drive on Saturday, April 24th at Loomis Grammar school. Start saving your E-Waste items and check our website regularly for updated information on the event!!!! The fundraisers of the LBEF support the seven schools of the Loomis Union School District.
Academic Talent Search

Academic Talent Search California State University, Sacramento will be here on Friday, February 20th to administer the Academic Talent Search test. The test will be in the cafeteria at 8:45am and is open to all 4th - 8th graders. Please click here for more information.

Raise 80 Project Update

Raise 80 Project Update The Caltrans project to raise the vertical clearance of nine overcrossings on Highway 80 is underway. The project is estimated to last six months and will impact seven overcrossings in the Loomis and Newcastle area. LBEF Awards $35,000 in Matching Grant Funds to District Schools

 LBEF Awards $35,000 in Matching Grant Funds to District Schools The LBEF in conjunction with district PTC organizations presented a total of $35,000 in matching grant funds to the seven district schools. This is the second year in a row that the LBEF has matched $5,000 raised by district PTC's to fund technology and visual and performance arts projects across the district. The partnership between the two groups is providing our students with great opportunities! Community support of LBEF events such as the MandaRUN, Holiday Home Tour and E-Waste Drive make this possible each year.

Dear Franklin Elementary School Families,

I am thrilled to be welcoming you to the new school year! The Franklin staff and I look forward to an exciting and productive school year, and we are ready to get started!

I am confident that your child will receive the best education when you and our dedicated Franklin teachers work as a team. It's the parents' and teachers' enthusiasm, support, and involvement that inspires children to do their best. Together we can achieve wonderful things.

There is great excitement ahead of us, including new teachers to meet, new books to read, new friends to meet and new skills to master... and I look forward to you sharing in those exciting times.

I encourage you to become involved in our school through volunteerism. PTC has been organizing activities for the upcoming year, and they can use your help! Be a risk-taker and volunteer. Also a group of parents and I have started a beautification committee and we need you. Send me an email and I will add you to our beautification group.

I am looking forward to a great year at Franklin Elementary School.
