Instant Challenge Workshops! The Franklin PTC is pleased to be offering a series of unique workshops for Franklin and Charter School students which will help develop quick thinking, collaborative, problem solving skills. Based on the Instant Challenge curriculum created by Destination Imagination, these hour and a half workshops should be a fun & rewarding learning experience!

Hurry! Yearbooks are still on sale! Online ordering for yearbooks is no longer available. We are currently accepting orders for softcover yearbooks through the office. There are a limited amount of yearbooks available, so be sure to order yours soon! The base price for a standard soft-cover book is $21.00.
PTC Volunteers Needed!
Help keep our PTC strong! Volunteers are the backbone of a successful PTC and it is time to recruit volunteers for the 2015-16 School Year! This invitation is extended to all Franklin parents (grandparents too!) to get involved and help Franklin be the best it can be!

LOST AND FOUND We have several smaller lost and found items in the office, including an impressive collection of sunglasses and reading glasses. If you have lost any glasses, jewelry, watches, or keys, stop by to see if we have them! All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the year.

Raise 80 Project Update

Raise 80 Project Update The Caltrans project to raise the vertical clearance of nine overcrossings on Highway 80 is underway. The project is estimated to last six months and will impact seven overcrossings in the Loomis and Newcastle area. LBEF Awards $35,000 in Matching Grant Funds to District Schools

 LBEF Awards $35,000 in Matching Grant Funds to District Schools The LBEF in conjunction with district PTC organizations presented a total of $35,000 in matching grant funds to the seven district schools. This is the second year in a row that the LBEF has matched $5,000 raised by district PTC's to fund technology and visual and performance arts projects across the district. The partnership between the two groups is providing our students with great opportunities! Community support of LBEF events such as the MandaRUN, Holiday Home Tour and E-Waste Drive make this possible each year.

Dear Franklin Elementary School Families,

I am thrilled to be welcoming you to the new school year! The Franklin staff and I look forward to an exciting and productive school year, and we are ready to get started!

I am confident that your child will receive the best education when you and our dedicated Franklin teachers work as a team. It's the parents' and teachers' enthusiasm, support, and involvement that inspires children to do their best. Together we can achieve wonderful things.

There is great excitement ahead of us, including new teachers to meet, new books to read, new friends to meet and new skills to master... and I look forward to you sharing in those exciting times.

I encourage you to become involved in our school through volunteerism. PTC has been organizing activities for the upcoming year, and they can use your help! Be a risk-taker and volunteer. Also a group of parents and I have started a beautification committee and we need you. Send me an email and I will add you to our beautification group.

I am looking forward to a great year at Franklin Elementary School.
