Kindergarten Registration is coming! 
Kindergarten Orientation will be held Monday, February 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose room (cafeteria). Registration will be Thursday, March 1st from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Multi Purpose room (gym). Please see the attached flyer for important information regarding registration requirements and Kindergarten programs. |

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!! As we approach some well-deserved time with our families, I have a couple of Health Issues for you to consider. To parents of ALL 6th Graders – your children will be required to have proof of Tdap immunization to the school before 7th Grade; and to all: that requirement will be met if your child receives Tdap any time after age 10. So, beat the rush, get immunized (adults need it too) and bring record to the office. Also, to ALL PARENTS – we have had multiple cases of Human Head Lice in our District this fall – we would like to encourage all families to check closely for head lice and treat accordingly. Principal's Corner
Dear Franklin Elementary School Families,
I am thrilled to be welcoming you to the 2011-2012 school year! The Franklin staff and I look forward to an exciting and productive school year and we are ready to get started!
I am confident that your child will receive the best education when you and our dedicated Franklin teachers work as a team. It's the parents' and teachers' enthusiasm, support and involvement that inspires children to do their best. Together we can achieve wonderful things. There is great excitement ahead of us, including new teachers to meet, new books to read, new friends to meet and new skills to master... and I look forward to you sharing in those exciting times. As a parent myself, I know how fast time goes by. Just yesterday, my daughter, Sam was gangly little 2nd grader and in the blink of an eye she is a confident 2nd grade teacher!
I encourage you to become involved in our school through volunteerism. This summer PTC has been organizing activities for the upcoming year and they can use your help! Be a risk-taker and volunteer. Also a group of parents and I have started a beautification committee and we need you. Send me an email and I will add you to our beautification group.
I am looking forward to a great year at Franklin Elementary School.
