Independent Study Contracts

Independent Study

Families are encouraged to plan trips/vacations around the school calendar.  For students to participate in Independent Study at the school site, they must be absent for 5 or more consecutive days.  Requests for Independent Study contracts must be submitted to the school office at least 5 days in advance. The Independent Study contract and all student work are due the day the student returns to school.  Independent study may be denied if your child has excessive absences and/or tardies or previous Independent Study contracts have been incomplete.  Incomplete Independent Study contracts result in unexcused absences for your child.  Note:  Independent Study Contracts will not be approved during the first two weeks of school or the last two weeks of school (except for an extenuating circumstance that has been approved by the school
